Hello everyone!

Our Spring Campout is officially on the calendar. This year, we will be visiting the Alabama Coushatta Indian Reservation, between Livingston and Woodville, TX. This is Texas’ oldest Indian Reservation and just a beautiful location. We will be camping in Section A, which is the loop right next to the lake with water and electric hookups. Fishing is allowed and they have canoe rentals available for your use during family time. You are responsible for your own transportation, meals, and camping gear. Troop WILL be there on Saturday to provide lunch for everyone (typically hotdogs and nachos, with water.)

Rough schedule:
Friday, March 22:
4PM – Earliest arrival time permitted
4-10PM – Camp setup / Family time
10PM – Lights out

Saturday, March 23:
8AM – Den time (check with den leader for your specific activities)
12PM – Lunch provided by Troop
3PM – Bike Ride
DARK (8ish PM) – Night hike that ends at campfire for fun and skits

Sunday, March 24:
8AM – Family time
10AM – Disembark and leave camp cleaner than how you found it. You can hang out afterwards to enjoy the grounds.

There may be a $6/per car entry fee.

We have camp sites A1-19, A21, and A23 and we’re permitted up to four tents per site.
NO PETS
NO GLASS CONTAINERS
You may bring your own firewood or purchase onsite.
Fires must be contained in fire rings.

***Please RSVP so we may have an accurate number of people to plan for lunch on Saturday.***

You do not have to camp overnight, but I highly encourage it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Yours in Scouting,
